Fifth Sunday of Lent

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

This Monday through Wednesday is our Parish Mission! Fr. James Sullivan, OP, will preach our parish mission, Monday through Wednesday night, at 7pm, in the church. He’s a great preacher and I encourage everyone to attend. This retreat is a great way to get ready for Holy Week and Easter.

I also have an announcement about the Dominican community here. Fr. Isaiah Beiter, OP will be leaving to start a degree in Scripture at the Biblicum in Rome. The new chaplain at the NYU Catholic Center will be Fr. Cassian Derbes, OP, whom you may remember from this past Fall when he was living at St. Joseph’s. Please pray for Fr. Isaiah as he starts the next phase of his ministry, and for Fr. Cassian as he begins his ministry at the Catholic Center. We’ll have a going away party for Fr. Isaiah in May, and Fr. Cassian will arrive early this summer.
