twentieth sunday in ordinary time

by Fr. Boniface Endorf, OP

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

This past Tuesday, August 13th, is my 6th year anniversary as pastor of St. Joseph’s! It’s been a great six years that I have greatly enjoyed. I never thought I was about to undertake so many construction projects! Here’s a short list of what we’ve accomplished in the last six years:

-restored the ceiling and interior of the church (2019)
-installed working A/C in the church (2019)
-restored the façade and roof of the church (2019-2020)
-restored the façade and roof of the school building (2020)
-reinforced, from wood to steel, the foundations of the church building (2020)
-restored the church bell and brought it back into operation (2021)
-built a new parish hall (2021)
-new music rooms, many various repairs to the rectory building (2022)
-built an adoration chapel (2023)
-installed two confessionals (2018 & 2024)

There are many smaller construction and improvement projects in addition to those above.

I’ve been very happy to see the fruits of these projects. Construction is not an end in of itself, but to allow our ministries to continue to grow with the space we now have in the parish hall and with liturgies in a restored and more beautiful church.

Thank you for a great six years and I look forward to many more here!

One final note: I’ll be away the next few weeks and Fr. Jonah will be in charge. I look forward to seeing everyone again in September.

God Bless,
Fr. Boniface
