Pentecost Sunday

by Fr. Boniface Endorf, O.P.

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

I hope that everyone has a blessed Pentecost! As the Holy Spirit came down upon the Apostles gathered together in prayer, so He still does today. As those Apostles became new men—brave and faithful—so grace still transforms us today. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into saints; let us be filled with God’s own life and find the joy and peace God wants for us. The Holy Spirit will lead us on journeys we could never imagine, as with the Apostles, but He always leads us towards salvation and fulfillment, even amidst the crosses of life. Follow the Holy Spirit and all will be well.

Today I’m off to the Provincial Chapter at Providence College. The chapter is the governing body of our province of Dominicans, the Providence of St. Joseph (aka: the Eastern Province). Please keep the chapter in your prayers as we discern God’s will for our province. The chapter doesn’t have a set end point, but I should be back by the end of June. Fr. Clement will be in charge while I’m away, and he’ll write this letter while I’m gone.

Have a blessed summer,

Fr. Boniface
