Fifth Sunday of Easter

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
We have a lot going on this week as our Religious Education program comes to its conclusion this year. This Tuesday evening Bishop Whalen, an auxiliary bishop for New York, will be here for our parish Confirmation Mass. He’ll be celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation for our parishioners who have been preparing for it in our Religious Education program. Next Sunday, at the 9am Mass, we’ll hold First Communion for our young parishioners who also have been preparing all year. Please keep them all in your prayers as they continue to grow in their faith and spiritual journey.
Also, this Wednesday, is the NYU commencement and the end of the academic year at the NYU Catholic Center. It seems like the year is winding up and we’re finally about to begin summer!
Coming up we have Ascension Thursday, Pentecost, and Corpus Christi, when we’ll continue to hold our Corpus Christi procession. There is much to be excited about in the weeks ahead and I look forward to celebrating them with everyone at St. Joseph’s. We’re also planning to expand ministries this Fall when everyone returns to the city—our hope is to have an even more vibrant parish this upcoming year.
Have a blessed Easter Season,
Fr. Boniface
