Thirty-Second sunday in ordinary time

by Fr. Boniface Endorf, OP

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

Happy Veterans’ Day this Monday! The parish office will be closed in observance of Veterans’ Day.

Two weeks from now we begin the new Liturgical Year with Advent. Advent is a time to prepare ourselves for Christ’s coming at Christmas. It’s a penitential season, so consider adding to your daily prayers or giving something up. It doesn’t need to be as severe as a Lenten penance, but spiritual works will help you prepare for Christmas and will bear good fruit in your spiritual life. It will also help you remember the spiritual meaning of the Holiday (i.e.: Holy-Day) Season, even amidst all the business. So please pray about what spiritual practices to adopt for Advent.

God Bless,

Fr. Boniface
