Twenty-Fourth sunday in ordinary time
by Fr. Jonah Teller, OP
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Fr. Jonah here, filling in while Fr. Boniface is away (though he’ll be back and reading this by the time the bulletins are printed).
It’s been a great joy to see how consistently people are in the adoration chapel (now just over a year old). Most hours of the day (and many hours of the night) there is someone there adoring our Lord. At present, we have enough people committed to being in the chapel continuously to have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every weekday. This is good, but, of course, we intend for this space to be a place of perpetual adoration. The Lord can do tremendous things through simple prayer in the presence of the Eucharist. Please sign up for a regular time of adoration each week. If you don’t have a keycard for the chapel yet, you can sign up for one at https://perpetualadoration.nyc
In every church where the Blessed Sacrament is kept, a candle is always kept burning, day and night. Whenever you’re in the adoration chapel, think of yourself that way: a constant light of praise and prayer burning for the Lord.
God bless you!
Peace,
Fr. Jonah, OP
