Divine Mercy Sunday
by Fr. Boniface Endorf, O.P
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Today is the 2nd Sunday of Easter, the end of the Easter Octave, and Divine Mercy Sunday. We celebrate God’s work of salvation in the world and our lives, so let us today give thanks to God for His goodness is the source of all good things.
Also, thank you to everyone who volunteered this Easter. Many parishioners helped serve at the Triduum and Easter Masses as ushers, readers, and servers, as well as those who spent many hours decorating the church for Easter. Thank you for the goodness you brought to St. Joseph’s with the beautiful flower arrangements and beautiful liturgies!
Mass Tidbit:
We are now entering the Easter Season. White is the color for Masses now and there are many more alleluia’s in the Mass and liturgy texts. This Season ends with Pentecost, so it stretches from Christ’s Resurrection at Easter, through His Ascension into heaven, and ends with His sending the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Let us give thanks for all the gifts Christ gives us during this Season!
God Bless,
Fr. Boniface
