Third Sunday of Ordinary Time

by Fr. Boniface Endorf, O.P.

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

The 2022 Cardinal’s Appeal is beginning and this year our parish goal is $73,500. This appeal supports the Archdiocese of New York and its ministries. It funds the charitable works of the Archdiocese, supports financially fragile parishes, supports the training of Diocesan priests and the retirement of Diocesan priests (but not the training or retirement of Dominican friars), funds various offices, such as the Young Adult Outreach office, and the many other activities of the Archdiocese of New York. Please consider giving to this appeal. There are envelopes for the appeal on the tables in the narthex of St. Joe’s, and posters on the wall in the narthex with QR codes for online giving. Make sure to mention that your parish is the Church of St. Joseph in Greenwich Village.

This Friday is the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas OP, the greatest theologian of the Church and a Dominican friar from the 13th century. His theology is the basis of our Dominican training and preaching. If you’d like a taste of his wisdom and insight, check out these short (and free) videos from the Thomistic Institute at aquinas101.thomisticinstitute.org

God Bless,

Fr. Boniface
