Fr. John Baptist Hoang, O.P., was born in Lemoore, CA but grew up in Woodbridge, VA. Drawn deeper to the love of Christ and his Catholic faith through the ministry and preaching of the Dominican Friars at the University of Virginia, he joined the Order of Preachers in 2009 after graduating from UVA. Upon completion of his studies at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, Fr. John Baptist was ordained to the priesthood in May 2016 and served as parochial vicar of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich Village until June 2018. He now serves as the director of the Catholic Center at NYU.
