In an article published on July 14, 2010, Allan Kozinn of The New York Times reviewed the Washington Square Music Festival. Regarding the first two concerts that were held at St. Joseph’s—the designated space on rain dates—Mr. Kozinn remarked:
“…whatever the park’s charms, the church was air-conditioned and has both a vibrant acoustic and walls that keep out traffic noise and other sonic irritants that can plague outdoor concerts in cities.”
