Two members of our congregation have joined eleven other young men who began their novitiate as Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph in late July.
Paul Camurati has been a member of our community for six years. When Paul first came to Cooper Union from Brooklyn to study engineering, he was a self-discribed atheist. Intellectual curiousity drew him to membership in our NYU Newman Club and over a period of time he became convinced of the truth of Jesus' teaching and the authentic claim of the Catholic Church to be the representative of that teaching and life. He has served as a lector, acolyte and Eucharistic minister for the past years. He could easily return to serve our community in the future as one of our priests.
Also joining the novitiate is Eddie McCullogh. Following grauation from Mt. St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Eddie entered our community's life as one of our Focus Lay Catholic ministers whose primary goal is to evangelize students through bible study and personal conversion. Eddie is a brilliant spokesman for the Gospel and we are proud to welcome him to our Dominican ranks.Learn more about all thirteen new novices on the provincial website.
