St. Joseph’s Church was established in 1829 and its current building was erected in 1833, making it the oldest Catholic edifice in the New York Archdiocese.
The proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit a Restoration Fund to cover the costs of maintaining and upgrading this magnificent 180-year-old building.
St. Joseph’s parishioners are passionate about their Church, both for the community of faith we form with our brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as for our beloved building, host of our spiritual journey.
On Sundays, St. Joseph’s also serves as the liturgical home of New York University, Cooper Union, The New School, and Pace University.
Since 2003, St. Joseph’s is a ministry of the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.
