Pastoral Council Member
My husband, Neil Patel and I became active members of Saint Joseph’s in 2001 when my son, Emlyn was baptized here. He and our older daughter, Pia made their first communions and confirmations in the parish. I have taught Kindergarten and 8
th grade classes in the CCD program and am currently known to many families as the Christmas Eve Children’s Pageant director.
Professionally, I am a freelance theatre director. Most recently I helmed LET THERE BE LOVE at ACT in San Francisco which deals with immigration relationships and DETROIT at the Philadelphia Theatre Company which looks at the disintegration of American communities. I hold a BA from Yale College and an MFA from UC San Diego. I am drawn to new writing and bold opinions.
I have served on the benefit committee for Food Bank of NY and I co-directed the soup kitchen at St. Paul’s on Columbus where I was married.
I would be honored to serve on St. Joseph’s Pastoral Council.
