Pastoral Council Member
My name is Kimo Jung and I have been a parishioner at Saint Joseph’s for 19 years. I have been a Lector and Eucharistic Minister the entire time (9:00 am Mass).
I have a small shop in Greenwich Village called LEO Design. I sell gifts and home furnishings—a blend of antiques and contemporary items. I love to travel for business and pleasure.
My parish service began as an altar boy in Hawaii—where I was born—and includes time as Parish Council President at St. Malachy’s (in Times Square) for four years. When my partner and I moved to Chelsea, we began worshiping at Saint Joseph’s. I love the 9:00 am Mass: I am invigorated by the wonderful music; I am reassured by the sight (and sound) of wriggling young Catholics in the pews (who are the future of our Church); and I am honored when entrusted with ministering the Eucharist to my fellow parishioners—an assignment which becomes the most important thing I could do that week.
