You may recognize me as the guy asking you for Soup Kitchen money during the year. I volunteer as Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Soup Kitchen, and usher during 11:30 mass on Sundays. I am a member of the Parish since 2004. While a life-long Catholic, I was blessed by the unique upbringing of both Catholic and Protestant teachings. On my mother’s side, my grandfather, uncle, and a number of other relatives were Lutheran ministers. So I have blessed with the love, teachings, and guidance of having God in my life, and am so thankful finding a home in St. Joseph’s Parish
I was born and raised in Upstate NY, between Syracuse and Utica. My mother, a retired special education teacher, and my father, a small business owner, provided my sister and me with a wonderful upbringing, full of love, compassion, social engagement, leadership, morality, and ambition. I received my bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University, and am a licensed CPA, Certified Turnaround Professional, and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisory. I worked at PwC, Deloitte, and FTI Consulting before starting my own firm, Genesis Advisory. I advise companies through mergers & acquisitions, turnarounds, change efforts, and financial management. My passion is helping others, especially those in need, and hope I can use my passion to best serve on the Parish Council.
